Post by tangerine »

Sorry for the crappy quality pics, snapped a few with my cell. Just picked her up last night. 2004 GTO with 22k miles on it. Previously owned by a 65 year old man who wanted to sell it and get a Corvette.Still have parts from my SS laying in the shop, so I doubt she stays stock long . Just ordered some 06 tails (black instead of red) SAP grille inserts and the Spintech side exit exhaust system with DMS sideskirts.

Suprisingly, even getting on it I'm getting about 23mpg average. As much fun as I had with the ram (won 12 1st place and 3 3rd place in sound competitions over the summer) I couldn't justify the $200 a week I was burning in gas goin to work. (Woo yea, forgot to pop in and give that piece of info...I'm finally after 3 years able to work again for someone other than my blood sucking fathers company)Quote, originally posted by NibCrom »Sweet Goat!I'm sure you will have fuel economy similar to the Vibe. Looks like you live in farm country. Bet you have a blast on those country roads.

Yea it's the 5.7(LS1). Oil sucking LS2 ftl lol.My back won't get any better, so I told myself as long as I can walk I'll be damned if I live off disability. I go through a lot of pain every night working, but I tell myself damnit I'm working and suck it up. I got the car for $17,995 steal for the condition it's in and low milage. As for the competitions I competed in The unlimited II division they had and in the sound quality tests they did. The 3 times I got 3rd place was the last 3 events....I was happy to have even placed there. A shop from Tulsa trailered in 3 cars, one of which was a 62' Impala on hydrolics and 10 12's in the trunk

Heh sticker is going, haven't had much time to get a lot of things with the car done.Quote, originally posted by Merzbow »What's with the random Van system? Where di you see that???The Van is Kickers' Warhorse van. They came up to the summer sound competition Finale 3(ish) weeks ago. I had just got done working a 12 hour shift and headed the competition, didn't sleep the night before so the guys I was representing told me to take a nap in my truck since I only had time to shower and head back to town. I was 1/4 across the mall parking lot...pretty big lot and he turned those subs up and started making every part of my truck that I rattled loose start squeeking. At that point I was screw sleep I wanna set in that thing. LOL

I'm gonna update this and say this is by far the WORST car I have EVER purchased.. Had the car a week and the trans grenaded leaving work, got the car out of the shop after dropping funds on a stage 3 4l60e because I bought the car with intentions of racing it..the next day I'm leaving sonic where my girl works and CLUNK again...they didn't tighten the bolts in m drafshaft and it fell to the ground...now when I get off work this morning I go to get an oil change and we notice a ticking/squeeling coming from my bell housing. I'm gonna trade the damn car in on a new C-Class or New STS. Something told me not to buy that car but I didn't listen to my gut...Opinions on those 2 choices or cheaper nice/classy cars to consider are welcome..

My folks have an STS. it's pretty nice and I can get it sideways pretty easy. I don't suggest doing that with your mother in the car however, she may tend to get upset.

Sounds like the shop you had the transmission done at needs to pay to fix it now. Hope you get it worked out soon.

New transmission is broke in and car is actually running good again.Car is filthy, but I thought I'd take some pics with my new camera.Car needs a drop and 19's stat..Since the car is paid off, I'm keeping it for a while and driving the truck I baught my brother this winter.Wish this one would have turned out better, it was too dark to try again after I took it.I got a PM on local racing forums by a local shop wanting to use my car as a mock up car for a single turbo kit at 60% discount. Would be using the following items:-GT35R precision turbo-Tial 44mm gate-Tial 50mm BOV-24X10X4 bar and plate intercooler-aluminum IC piping -ALL Hot Parts coated-Motron 60lbhr injectors-Walbro 255 pump -regulator, lines, fittings, fuel rails-Custom tune
