Have you guys ever heard of it and does it actually work? If so, how should it be applied onto the header?

From what I read about it, it may be good for drag cars, but daily driven cars its no good. They heat and cool so dramatically on the street and the wrap keeps the heat in that it can crack the manifold....
Alright thanks guys, I think the header should do a fine job on its own of cooling everything down. I'd rather not risk the warranty.

If you want to lower underhood temperatures, I would look in to the ceramic header coatings. When I had my Nissan Spec-V, I got the Nismo shorty header coated by Hotshot. The header looked awesome and it did help keep the temps down.
OOO very nice!!! Too bad since I just bought the header, I have no money to spend lol. I'll need to get rid of the current wrap I have and go with ceramic...in the future of course. How much does it cost?

If the header is aftermerket and Stainless, it shouldn't be a problem really. a lot of my Subie peeps wrap, and it makes'em look aweful once they are unwrapped, but it works.. I'm planning on wrapping my DP, over the winter, and getting a turbo heat shield as wellYou can buy "ceramic" paints, VHT make'em you can get as walmart... I did my brake ROTORS with it and so far so good, but it needs to be oven cured, and the final step calles for 600 degrees... I just put the oven on broil and let it go... lol... Something to consider..
we have wrapped both our downpipes and I wrapped my crosspipe (to be installed still). we also coated them with some high heat silicone because i'm told it really does make a big difference on our turbos. Not sure how much it will on a 4 Cyl NA engine, but our tech buddy with V8 Chevy's wraps all his exhaust pipes. So I'm guessing it's gotta do something.
HAHA well that's definitely something to consider for the future, i mean it's gotta do something for a NA engine.
