looking for a lower kit that doesn't have the harsher ride? I'm not an aggressive driver

anyone know of a not so harsh lowering kit available. I'm not a aggressive driver. I'm looking for looks first then ride quality. I would like to lower it 1.5 or 2inches. with 18 inch wheels. thanks

there's at least one more thread started this week that asks the same question...http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=34899the more knowledgeable folks on the forum will correct me if i'm wrong...in terms of looks and handling, you're going in the right direction, but for the most part, lowering the car won't improve the ride quality. neither will increasing the diameter of the wheel. especially if you're 'upgrading' from the stock 16" wheel size to 18. you'll feel every pebble in the road

sorry, It's a 2wd, 2004. yes I know a 16" will give me a better ride then a 18". I'm willing to give some ride quality up for looks with the 18" wheels, but at the same time I'd like to try and lessen the harsh ride where I can thru the process. By possibly having more sidewall like a 45 series tire. also if there is a good manufacturer that has a lowering spring kit that gives more of a grand touring type ride or stock ride.

TRD springs give a slight lower height but best ride quality. Then I would say the hotchkis, but my front end on them settled real low (may of been helped getting rear ended...) and was harsh.IMO TRD for you is the best option.

Look at the TRD as northvibe mentioned, but also look at Tein H-Tech's or Eibach Prokit. those 3 offer the least drop with the most comfort.

i wish someone would try the 2wd canuck springs.... i know the 4wd canucks don't offer a very harsh ride compaired to day the hotchkis

I know Kamikaze is running the 4WD CM springs on his 2WD with 18's and he said they aren't too bad.

thanks guys, sounds like the TRD's springs don't lower the car as much therefore giving a better ride. I'll have to check the Canucks out also. I don't know about you guys but I like the front end to be at least the same height as the rear end, if not a little lower. My front end sits what looks like to be a little higher then the rear. Then on top of it when your going down the road the front end is going to lift even more, little rack in the front I think looks better all the way around.
