I'd love to post this entirely in French, but I'm afraid I don't know enough to do so. Anyway today my bf and I were each given a ticket to the Canadian F1 Grand Prix (my bf and I work together) in the silver grandstands. We were wondering what the best way to get there is... should we drive? Should we take a VIA train from Ottawa into Montreal? I've read its best to take the metro to the circuit Gilles Villeneuve - is the train station far from the circuit? Merci beaucoup!

The train station os a little far away from the circuit, but it sit on a metro station.I highly recommend to take the metro (station Jean Drapeau or Ile Notre-Dame, depend if the map been updated).Getting access to the site by the Jacques-Cartier bridge by car will be a pain in the neck. So, if you want to take your car, go ahead but take the metro to access the race site, it will be much easier.
Thanks for the info... I think the train is out. It arrives too late on Sunday. We aren't really keen on driving in Montreal... maybe the Voyageur bus... is it near the train station? We will take the metro from however we are able to get there.

Got my bus tickets today. It says theres a bus leaving Ottawa at 7 and getting to Montreal at 9:20 am. Hopefully this is enough time to get to the track and get comfy before the race at 1. I will take some photos.

Lucky people. My boss was selling his tickets, located in the hairpin as well.700$ for 2 tickets for the 3 days... A little over or my budget.BTW, Shummi won (again) and Jacques Villeneuve didn't completed the race (as usual)I'll bring imy Vibe. Ok he will finish last one but, at least, he'll complete the race.
Yes, I consider that I was lucky to attend the GP. On my ticket, for Sunday only, it's written 205 $. But I didn't have to pay for it... quote:BTW, Shummi won (again) and Jacques Villeneuve didn't completed the race (as usual)I'll bring imy Vibe.
