Hey everyoneLooking for some guidance. When I installed the SC I pulled off the OBX crank pulley and put back on the stock one. I understand that the 2zz’s have problems with aftermarket pulleys and the oil pumps. Would a boosted 1zz have the same problems? Would there be any benefit to putting the aftermarket pulley back on along with the SC?Thanks!
Vibe Freak has an Alutec OEM sized lightweight crank pulley install on his set-up. I wouldn't recommend underdrive pulleys for either N/A or F/I applications. I will only recommend OEM sized lightweight pulleys. If you did choose to put your OBX underdrive pulley on you would need to guess at the belt size you would need. I don't know of anyone who has the S/C with an underdrive pulley.

I'll look at going to a lighter pulley then.Alutec is the only OEM lightweight crank pulley on the market and you can only get it here: http://www.motorexonline.com/crankpulleys.html

The OEM Size pulley works fine, I would not run a under drive pulley on a S/C 1zz. You will under drive the S/C and make only 4 to 5 pounds of boost. The after market pulley was put on the same time as the blower ,
RFP1 17x8 , AFE Cold Air Intake, Helix Power Tower Plus, Eibach Sportline Springs with Tokico Blues, Progress sway bar, Alutec OEM Sized Lightened Crank Pulley full custom Magnaflow 2.5 header back exhaust and B&M tranny cooler E/S inserts Unichip.
I put the orginal pulley on when I put the SC on about a year ago. The odd thing is i'm only getting 5.5 pounds of boost max. The analog gauges (Meghan) were showing between 6-10. I just repalced them with PLX gauges, and that boost gauge shows 5.5.
