Chips, reprogrammers etc

Got a little cash to spend, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for computer mods such as a chip or a reprogramer for my 05 base vibe with 90k that is in need of a power lift also thinking about a CAI however i have heard mixed reviews about the cai, more bad than good.

They only programmer available is Unichip and it's about $600.00 for an 8-12HP gain.
