Dell Laptop trim piece replacement?

Post by Whelan »

So last night my laptop decided to grow legs and jumped off my shelf. It is an inspiron E1505. If you look at the picture, the problem is the white trim along the sides. The very corner had a piece of it break off. The computer works fine still, but I am wondering if it is possible to get just that little white plastic trim piece. I see they sell the ones around the screen, but cannot locate this. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If the white piece is part of the palmrest, then no. You will only be able to get the full palmrest assembly. If the notebook is still in warranty, call them and dell will send either a tech, with the part, or the part itself to you.if you're not in warranty -- call them and get the part #. You can either buy the part from Dell Spare Parts or through a 3rd party (ie: http://www.dellmedic.com/dell_data/pls-dell.html )

Sweet! I'll head home today and get the exact info on the puter and call them up for a replacement. The touchpad is fine as are the speakers so hopefully it wont be too expensive. They send me that with some instructions and I'm good.
