I only have a limited amount of pavement to try mine on and so far only had it up to 160km/h and it was still pulling hard, so I was wondering what will they do before cutting out?
oh, lol, im not afraid of speed but like I saie we just dont have a paved highway here, once I do hit some open paved road, and the engine is broken in, I will try it forsure, but it wont' be until next summer

Only time I have taken my car in gravel (unpaved road) I was going about 140 km/h and that felt pretty unstable (lots of fishtailing driving in a straight line) wouldn't try to do 160 in the stuff. Furthermore, I don't think I've driven the GT over 160km/h (100mph), never seen a need.

I had my Vibe at 100 MPH, and I didn't even realize at first. That's how smooth this thing is. But you've gotta hit 100 at least once...just to say you did!
I just got a Black AWD myself . I would love to get to 100mph (that's what radar detectors are for) but I'll wait until it's broken in - by then it won't be winter anymore
Don't your roads ice over up there? If they are smooth, you can make believe you're on pavement... any long straight stretches? Nothing like 160+ kph on a smooth ice covered road! Ice spiked rally tires would help. YEE-HAW! Why are we exploring these limits in the first place?

yes they ice over completely up here, with ice radials you can get up to a nice high speed, the transport truck drivers say 'God paves our roads with white pavement in the winter' I did post a speed I got but someone erased it, lets say it was 20km/h more then the highest post here yet....
ive got an 09 gt automatic and had it up to 120 MPH 2 nights ago. i could have gone faster but i was at my exit and had to slow down by then. its dangerous and kinda stupid, but i had to see what my girl has.
Hey Mountain, with the 2.4 Manual, have you had a chance to get a good feel for fuel mileage yet? Most of the genvibe members seem to buy the auto trans version.

Stock tires are only rated for 89 mph. Please dont speed on public roads.Take it to the track. Use tires that are rated for higher speeds if you insist on the need for speed.

It ran up to 96 before I realized it in the same time the 1.8 would have been approaching about 80.

Most of them usually they wind it up only once or twice and then never again.
