Eyelids for the Vibe!!!! - Lots of Pics

Post by BlueCrush »

I took a chance and bought a set of eyelids off of Ebay....Well, It paid off big time!!! I freakin' love them!!!!! A couple years ago I tried out a set of flexible Carbon Fiber eyelids that were total crap. They were a flat piece of carbon fiber that was cut with a dull pair of scissors. I have been looking since then to find someone that makes eyelids for the Vibe that FIT. I found someone a month ago on Ebay that makes custom molded eyelids for the Vibe. It is this Fibre Customs Fabrications on Ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/Fibre-Customs-Fabrications of you can just do a search on ebay for Vibe Eyelids. Here is a link to his current sale: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V . They cost between $50-$55 shipped. Not a bad price, I thought. So I they arrived on Saturday and I dropped them off yesterday to the body shop that painted my upper spoiler 2+ years ago, which still looks brand new. It cost me $80 to have them painted, but I wanted it done right so they last. It was worth the $$. I picked them up today and couldnt wait to put them on. But let's step back for a moment to when I first found out about these new eyelids on Ebay. I decided to get an idea of how they would look so I use blue painter's tape and got as close as I could to how they would look and came up with this:I liked how it looked so I decided to order them. After I go them, I scotch taped them on to get a better idea of how they would look:I dropped them off at the body shop to have them painted to match the Neptune Blue. So, I got them during lunch and had to wait 5 grueling hours before I could put them on. Here is the end result:Pretty Sweet, eh! I absolutely love them! This is one of my favorite mods that I have done to my Vibe. Well, I hope you all enjoyed my little game and these pics. Hopefully we'll see more Vibes with these soon. Here are some better pics of my newly lowered Vibe as well:

Kind of a theme I have going.2) I am using Silverstar turn signal bulbs. They a re amber when lit and a put off a cool blue color when off.3) Only time will tell. I will need to be careful when brushing snow and ice off teh headlights now. The body shop also gave me a 2 oz. bottle of touch up paint. So I will use that if I need to, I will also use it on the paint chips on my hood...lol.

Looks like your squinting lol They look pretty good but I'm tossed between them and the painters tape style. haha After only 8 years in production of the car. Sometimes being late to the party is a good thing. I need to come up with an good reason the Blue hairs around here should have them on thier Vibes, I could make a mint. Subtle yet dynamic, the price seems a little steep but they fit nicely and considering the options I say money well spent. Now split the headlights and smoke those amber reflectors. I also have the Silverstar signals and love the look and they hold up well, I think I've had them on for 3 or more years.

They make your car look mean, grrrrrrrr. It reminds me of those rappers that try to look tough with that half closed eyes look. Looks good!

I covet your eyelids! Great idea getting them matched to the car. Or is that the idea all along?
