Well I bought an Iphone 3G and one of the applications I got is Test track. It utilises the built in Accelorometer in the Iphone to test 0-60, quarter mile and lateral G's. So last night at around 1am I decided to test it out in the industrial area of the city. So with my trusty fiance in the passesnger seat and holding the Iphone flat on her leg we gave it a run. I only tested the 0-60 piece as I didn't want to go all out in quarter mile and it wouldn't be safe. The speed limit is 80kph anyways in the stretch of the road I was on so going to 100kph wouldn't be such a bad thing.Well I was a little suprised when I completed my run and we both looked down. First run was 7.15 seconds and the clock had started before I had moved, so I thought that couldn't be right so I went back down and the second reading was 6.98 secs. The roads were a little wet and I had a bit of wheel spin. So one more for good measure and I was tired so last reading 6.96 with wheel spin again. Is that within norms for the performance of S/C Vibe? Has anyone else done the run and measured 0-60? If I can get the wheelspin down I could probably do better but I also think that because it was 9 degrees out I was probably getting a better run than normal. Any thoughts?

The "advertised" 0-60 time was 7.5 seconds.I heard the iPhone was a little inaccurate though. It's probably close, but for me wheelspin is a big killer even with my sticky tires.

7 seconds to do zero to sixty with a supercharger on a Vibe sounds pretty reasonable to me. I haven't personally tried to measure the zero to sixty time on my GT, but I've read that its pretty close to 8 seconds. Your supercharged Vibe has a lot more torque than my GT.
there was a review of that app and i was more accurate than the g-froce. They also had theirs locked down though.Sounds semi accurate for a SC vibe though, along with the phone not being locked to the dash/car.dang i swear there was a free one...i dont want to pay 13 bucks yet
So that is normal then. Thanks for the help everyone. I thought the GT was rated at 7.5 seconds and normal base at 8.5 so for me the S/C made some good gains.
