You could always find the buzzer and use a jumper to wire around it...or cut it out altogether.

You can't just use a jumper wire, It will mess with the air bag system. I used a jumper wire on the passenger seat and the air bag light statys on. I did it because when I put the whitwater kayak in the car it pushed against the seat the the car thinks a person is in the passenger seat. Turning off the beeper with the secret code worked much better.

no one ever said they *weren't* wearing their seatbelt. Sheesh! Any of you ever try moving a bookcase or something else long that rests on the folded down passenger seat? Yeah, that beeping will drive you batty!! The seat belt beep mod was my very first (and most worthwhile) mod! I recommend keeping the code sequence in the glovebox or some other handy place because I'm told anytime you disconnect the battery you'll have to reprogram it.

06 base Vibe sounded like the seat belt warning was on full volume. I hated that noise. My new 09 GT is nowhere near as loud as the 06, thank god.

I wear it at all times; however, I have a habit of unfastening it at the mailbox and when I am arriving into my cul-de-sac. It is annoying in these short distances. Much better now, though!

Wait out all the beeps. The annoying sound will stop! It took me a few ti figure it out as I always buckled up before it would quit.
