Not too many people in Illinois to begin with...I could venture to say you might be the only one. Check out the Wheels and Tires section to get more info... http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=2764I have the 16"'s on and haven't had too many problems...but I have 2 cars so when it's real crappy out I drive my beater '98 Hyundai Accent. However, the Vibe seems to handle well in the cold...so I don't really have any complaints.
CathyWhen this baby hits 6.000rpm's, you're gonna see some serious sh*t-Got Lift?'03 Neptune Vibe GT: SLP Hood, AEM CAI, Thermal R&D exhaust, Unorthodox underdrive pullies, K&N filter, G-Racing 17' Mito's, TEIN Springs, yellow calipers, GrafxWerks, Silverstar's, XM, Infinity basslink-more mods to come!http://www.mitro.net/vibe
I could, but it's not an option right now, since I've been unemployed for the last 6 months.Winter's almost over anyway (wouldn't know it by the snow we got the other day). I'll get all seasons before next winter though.

I feel your pain MJN2. I'm going on 5 months now. I'm just waiting for another upswing in the IT market. SilverAWD is right, something will come along. Best of luck to you!
Hiya MJN2...I just got my Vibe 4 days ago and am dreading the same thing this coming Winter. I posted in the Wheels and Tires section in hopes of finding a cost effective alternative. Had major weather related problems with Firestones on my old Ranger so I upgraded to Aquatreds... That was the best purchase I ever made for that vehicle but those don't come in any size close to the 17's on my Vibe. Was looking at Continental ContiExtremeContacts but I'm starting to get mixed reviews about them. Let me know what you go, or went, with. I'd be interested in knowing...DaveMonotone Abyss, 17's, No Mods... yet.
Hi silverawd26,Yeah, saw the post... Really appreciate all the help. Have had a few suggestions from many sources. It sure is nice to have a forum like this to pose such questions and to get quick responses.I'll let you know what I go with when I finally decide. I figure I have till at least October anyway.Dave
Well, due to my still being unemployed, I'm almost to the point where I'm going to have to attempt to sell the car if nothing happens soon. If I end up keeping it, I was looking at getting a set of Sumitomo HTR+ probably.
