Since receiving Guitar Hero 3 for father's day, I have become an addict and followed suit with Guitar Hero Aerosmith (with 2nd guitar for my wife) along with Guitar Hero - Rock the 80's, Guitar Hero 2 and now Guitar Hero 1.Guitar Hero - World Tour is looking to release end of October. Any of you out there want to weigh in on how this game will be. 3 of my buddies all have jumped off the deep end with Rock Band, however I haven't made the transistion yet due to compatibility issues between the two games. The song list on GH - World Tour looks awesome and the drums with the double cymbals is a great touch. I may give it a little time to be out (maybe after xmas when the hype dies down a bit) to get some true reviews on the game. Anybody else going to pick this up?
well.... Phil once said he had no interest in GH, that it was stupid. then he played it for 10 mins. and I knew I'd have to buy it. Ya..... I've yet to play for that reason most likely. But I am looking forward to WT version as I want to play with the drums. We'll skip the bad karaoke singing, but I'll certainly beat on the drums!
Not being into video games whatsoever,I'm seriously thinking of the WT.I'm a drummer, and always wanted a drumming video game. So,I may wait till prices come down a little before I buy,or maybe I'll get it as soon as it comes out.

yeah guitar hero when it first came out looked silly to me. Then I played GH3 and got hooked.I'm all over WT when it comes out. The drum set looks a lot better then Rock Band's set. The guitar gets some cool new features as well. I'm excited already. The wife can pound on the drums and I'll play the guitar. We can lose the mic for all I care lol.

i played GH2 for the first time at xmas....it only confirmed that I've lost my touch with video gamesmy brothers gave me their old acoustic guitar so i'm hoping to learn a few things and then try RB
I too got hooked on the Guitar Hero series a while back... I own GH2, GH3 and Rock Band. I highly recommend Rock Band, especially if you play with a group of people (that is the game at its best by far!). I just won a Guitar Hero 3 competiton last weekend actually... it was a blast! As far as which one to choose... that's a tough choice. The new additions to the instuments for WT are a huge plus over the original Rock Band equipment, but Rock Band 2 is also going to be out soon. I'm not sure if they are going to upgrade any of their equipment though. I have probably purchased $150 worth of extra XboxLIVE songs for Rock Band and will probably get Rock Band 2 for that purpose only. I just wish that both games were backward compatable with the downloadable content, then you wouldn't have to buy so much stuff for both games. If I didn't own Rock Band already... I would be all over Guitar Hero World Tour! I don't want two drum sets, two mics and another guitar to add to my huge collection of xbox guitars that fill up my living room as is, so I will stay away from Guitar Hero WT... for now.I doubt that helped anyone make a better infomed decision...
