Two Vibe Family Now

We loved our 2004 Vibe so much (175,000 km and only oil changes and finally brakes) we decided to give it to our son who needed a car for getting around at school, and buy a new one. He needed a dependable car and I can't think of anything more dependable than a Vibe. We got a base 2.4 in Mystic Blue a couple of weeks ago and once more, we just love it. Just a few things I have noticed. The air conditioner works way better on this one than on the old one, which didn't seem to blow quite hard enough. We got the 5 speed (really hard to find a standard with the options we wanted.) and it is a little tricky to drive without jerking. The 1.8 was easier to drive from the get go, but we are getting used to it now. Of course, we love the power. No more slowing down going up mountains. Other than that, we got the sunroof, the monsoon stereo and the chrome wheels, which I didn't like at first, but I like now that I have seen the chrome on the front of the car. With 0% financing and the $500 secret rebate for the 2.4 that you get here in Canada, our payments ended up lower than the old car. Don't know about gas mileage yet, but we'll see.
