Battery

Post by sisiroe »

Hi y'all! This might sound like a dumb question, but IO just changed the battery in my 2005 Vibe, and I can't get the little stupid hook that clips UNDER the battery and holds it in place to stay. It almost catches, then pops out. It feels like the only thing foor it to catch onto is the plastic "pan" the battery sits in. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing some little hole that the hook is supposed to seat into?THanks for your help.CC

welcome to genvibeThere is a hole, on mine it's farrther away from the battery, closer to the intake, but the hooked rod doesn't hang vertical. The hole is about an inch away from straight down from the hole in the bracket on top of the battery, and off center, a little more to the engine side of the battery

Its a real pain to get that thing where it belongs. esp. if you have a Red Top Optima.
