2009 Aftermarket Exhaust yet?????

Post by MountainMax »

Hey guys, while im waiting for my 09 vibe to arrive at the dealer i was looking for a new muffler, can't find anything, I need the car to be a bit louder like my old one, what are my options? I also notice the exhaust tip is on the opposite side now, how does this affect the muffler? does it enter and exit on the same side now? anyone have a pic of the stock 09 muffler?

You might try a exhaust shop, they would be able to custom that's what I did because the borla was only axle back and I wanted to get a cat back. It ended up being cheaper and if you ask them, they might be able to make a flanged end so you can put the stock back on if you need to.

Hey bud if you're made of money Magnaflow does make whole system for the '09s but its over $600! Do what I did just got a 18in Magnaflow and had them fabricate a new tailpipe and stick a tip on the end. Looks and sounds great and only cost me $320 after 10% Military disc Hey guys pics and sound clips to follow!! I've only driven about 25mi so far but it sounds great similar to the TRD exhaust, only noticeable at very low rpm start/roll off(I have a manual) and a smooth zoom after about 3500 Its really great sounds awesome on the outside and only a little noticeable in the cabin. It only starts really buzzing a little above 85mph of course. if you want louder, I recommend this brand just get a smaller size. Next stop a new computer to turn of ECT (renamed stabilitrak) above 35mph.

Why do you want to turn off Stabiltrak?

Sometimes I like to screw around in the dirt or spin the wheels a little bit. Toyota's traction system reengages once you get over 35mph. For some reason they didn't make stability control and traction control separately. My 2006 Malibu and every other true GM vehicle lets you turn off traction control at will

They did that so people dont die in the winter months, when theres snow and slop all over the ground. Not that thats a bad thing
