I finally got it 2009 Jet Black GT...I will hopefully post some pictures tomorrow, Unfortunately it already has to go in, there is a nice stone chip in the hood, that the dealer is going to fix, and there is also a scratch on the back. I love this car! I got my Sirius installed (I hate XM). I got it with 102 miles on it, get to take it on its first trip tomorrow...Pics soon!
Hey congrats and cool you stayed with the Vibe! Almost like switching to a new brand because the car is totally unlike your previous! Ask the dealer how they are going to fix the hood.If they are going to repaint the entire hood tell them you want it sanded down to the primer. I would not let them just spray the hood over again. If this is done, there will be too much paint on the hood and you will probably have issues down the road. And make sure it is documented that it was fixed. If they air brush the chip then that will probably be OK then too. However the previous happened to my dad on a black car in 1987 because the hood and front end had silver specs in the paint when we took delivery of the car. Sure paints and processes were different then but the hood and front end had too much paint on them after being repainted and began to show strange things in the paint. No paint loss ever, but it was kind of like white cracks. The car was well out of warranty and probably 5 years old at the time. We kept the car for 11 years and the hood never got worse but 3 body shops told me it would have to be stripped to be done correctly. We or I never did fix it but at about 7 years old and what I know about body work and paints, I wet sanded the entire hood and buffed it. That made a big difference but could never fix it completely. That car was my pride and joy and when I got rid if it at 11 years old, the Chevy dealer sold it on his used car lot. It ran and looked that well at 11 years and 150,000 miles.

Sirius and XM merged last year. The company may be the same now, but the content is still just as it was under the two prior companies. There continues to be a significant difference between the two brands despite common ownership.
