my 09 platinum metallic has a couple small rock chips on hood(installing bug deflector and mud guards ,hope it will help)and was wondering how the paint holds up on the vibes?
Well, the '03-'08 paint wasn't too good. Rocks and bugs alike are murder on this paint. Scratches down to the primer very easy too.NUMMI allegedly invested in new paint equipment recently, I am assuming they were using the new stuff now for the 09's but can't say for sure. I hope they 2009's use this improved paint process but who knows.

I've had my 09 for 6 months now... So far so good.I waxed it this weekend and found no paint dings....sadly I DO have 2-3 small scratches on the left side, probably small rocks and pebbles from one of the many many construction site I have to cross daily.
