Yesterday I saw the first other Vibe, EVER, on my Air-Force Base. Not only was it also Neptune, Monotone, same alloys, same blue sun shade (Wallmart has a million different ones), and same roof cargo carrier.Today, I was gassing up at the base gas station, and looky here, there was the other vibe owner. I went over and asked her what was up. She was doing good. Then I mentioned how wierd it was that she had the same vibe with same sunshade and cargo carrier. Then she floored me by saying that she saw my car with all that stuff, and she liked it so much, she got the exact same thing. Oh...but she didn't pay for it....noooooooo...her parents bought it for her as a present for her 21st birthday. I came off as a jerk towards the end (oops) because she complained that the oversized carrier (SEARS) that she copied off me, hardly fits, and you cant even open the hatch all the way. I told her she should try to stop copying me and use her own ideas if she has complaints about mine. All I can say is...Why...Why don't people make their own choices in personalizing their cars?

Someone had a similar story a few months back, but it was a little different as it was a guy that was copying the woman. In your case it seems like it's a little flattering. Was she cute? Maybe she's trying to get your attention.

I agree with Herb. Looks like daddy's little princess thought you were uber-cool... (or at least your car). But it is a little creepy that she got EVERYTHING the same. Maybe she'll start stalking you... you'll run into her everywhere... she'll make rude phone calls to your girlfriend... and you'll wake-up to dead rabbits in your bed. heh heh.
Creepy is how I see it. I was kinda flattered at first seeing the same car, but she would have had to look around for all the same stuff as my car. Psyco-hose-beast-vibe-girl weirded me out. She even asked me where I got my cargo liner at, which I made myself. It just seamed unreal happening to me...I've heard stories, but never really thought people were this materialistic. And yes...she was hot...but emotional baggage aint my thing.Oh yeah...I'm married too. Mabey I shoulda listed that first....

i hate copy cats too, but i guess theres only so much you can do to you car before. copying is bound to happen. i guess you can just say you were the first.

But I found out psyco princess has a husband that works in the same building as me. I'm coming home in July, so I look forward to driving in traffic with people that have decent driving skill for once. Drivers down here are nuts. Never used my wimpy Vibe horn so much in my life. Guess I should change my location to where I am at, rather than where I'm from.

I understand all of this all to well. I had a custom truck before the Vibe, and everyone tried to copy it. It was horrible, trying to stay ahead of all the wannabes.
Actually, he's an officer. Not one of my superiors, but still creeps me out. I've seen custom trucks that are a dime-a-dozen, so I understand the whole staying ahead mentality. People just think they are getting a cooler vehicle, not stealing someones identity.
