I want to install a new horn on my Vibe. I'm tired of that geeky little Japanese sounding horn. I want something that sounds big and American and says, get the *@/# out of my way! Or, how dare you cut me off you *@/# jerk! Any recommendations?

You can spend a little money and get Hellas or Stebels or you can choose the cheap and easy route: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=27484See my post on page 2. The FIAMM Freeway Blaster, it's much louder the factory horn, it's cheap and it's really easy to install. I'm still laughing at your thread title!

Wow, that looks like something I'd expect to see on a locomotive.

http://www.hornblasters.com/End of story. I've heard their horns. They sound exactly like a modern locomotive horn. Can you imagine that sound coming from a Vibe?
Quote, originally posted by Burns1210 »So, the horn is 50% louder than a dial tone? The dB scale is logarithmic, so it may only be 50% in terms of raw dB, but overall sound pressure is many times greater.I think for every 6 dB of increase, you roughly double the volume.
