UFC 87

Post by Kamikaze »

Not sure if anyone is into MMA, UFC, Pride ect....I was fortunate enough to go to UFC 87 in Minneapolis MN on 8/9/08. No pictures yet (on the camera and haven't downloaded them to the computer yet)Let's just say it was awesome! I got seats in the 4th Row, about 30-35 feet from the Ring... $600 seats... for free... let's just say I know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy...Fights started at 7:00 and ended around 12:00. for the first 2 hours they were smaller fights that were not on Pay Per View, then at 9:00 the PPV kicked in. Place was packed and the last fight was with G.S.P. (George St. Pierre) one of my new favorite fighters, he is AWESOME! Go CANADA!I'll post some pics in the next few days.

Brock is a really good wrestler, and dominated the fight, I wish they're would have been a few more big punch hits in the match, but it was still good.GSP: AWESOME fight... he's just such a well balanced fighter in every aspect.

I missed this one. I like G.S.P but I have to admit, I was rooting for Fitch and Huerta

I was rooting for Huerta as well. As for Fitch... he reminds me of a monkey... not to fond of him, but he's a good fighter. I'll give him that.

i was amazed at the damage one punch from lesnar inflicted on that poor guy! he has definitely proven himself, and in only his 3rd fight!

Sweet GSP and Lesnar won? I was hoping they would (had no doubt GSP would) How was the rest of the event?

All in all it was a great set of fights... A lot of action on pretty much all the fights, not too much "hugging" One of the fights lasted only 12 seconds... it was a sweet TKO.Click on images for larger view: (not all that great, but hey, I was there wasn't I?)Some dude
