Can 110 V and 12V outlets stay on with the ignition OFF?

Post by Strobo43 »

Does anyone know if we can change the 110 V and/or the accessory 12V outlets to stay on with the ignition OFF?My old Caravan had a relay to add into the fuse box that allowed one to have power on at ALL times.

The design calls for them to be disconnected when the power is cut to the car -- AFAIK, nobody has found a simple workaround for this yet, if any workaround has been found at all...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

OK, I understand that about splicing in a HOT wire and fusing it. So where is a good place to hook into a hot wire without goint to the battery, or that the best?? Is there an easy way to run a wire from the fusebox that is already fused and on all the time?

What bigger size would fit our cars and do a good job?
