Wrong oil filter on GT

Post by Sarcoptic »

I just got back from my toyota dealer and noticed they put the filter on for the base model Vibe/Matrix XRS on my Vibe GT. Should I be concerned about this or will I be okay?

My guess is that there are two different filters for a reason. I say take it back, tell them they're a bunch of rejects, and they should fix it, AND wash and vacuum your car for free as compensation for your inconveninece..

quote:That filter is longer to hold and filter more oil. Since the GT takes more oil, get the bigger filter. What they said. The base filter is the smallest I have ever had on one of my cars. It's so tiny, I'll probly spring for the larger, more expensive brands next oil change.
