New front page tonight. Supercharger update. But I'll belive it when my salesman gives me a call saying "Come in. Your supercharger is here!".KSNeptune
In the article, it is said that the SC for the Sunfire/Cavy sells for $3000. Anyone know if that is with installation? If not, does anyone know what the markup is to have them do the dirty work? Thanks,
$3K is probably without installation. It's about right for the price of a supercharger. Superchargers for C5's start around 5K, a centrifugal kit for Grand Prix's goes for around 3~4K, so it's not too bad of a price.
the jerks could have at least posted a time slip.oh well. i just saw the sports package up here in cleveland(or down there for some of you) i kinda got to excited slammed on the brakes and did a u turn in a construction zone all i can say is thats how the vibe shouldve looked in the first place. can somebody loan me five grand?

OK, It's now June. Anyone been able to buy a Base Vibe supercharger yet? Anyone know if there is a part number for it?BTW, if it still isn't available by July 1st, then it makes my salesman, the dealership, Pontiac, and GM in total all liars. Why? Who else heard "Early 2003", "First quarter 2003", or "Second quarter 2003" when they asked when it would be available.Am I irritated? Yep.KSNeptune
I went in to the dealership pulled it up on the accesories for the vibe site. And asked them to get me a price and ship it up. Guess what still waiting got he deer in the headlight look too from the performance girl behind the counter.. The website also says you can buy the spoilers individually once again still waiting for a responce. Gotta love the sense of urgency in Gm..oh well maybe when Toyota buys them out or Honda aquires them they'll look back and go uh duh maybe we should have listened to that forum....hmmm thoughts to ponder.

From the Vibe page at the Pontiac web site, you can call up a seperate window for a brief look at Vibe Accessories. There it will tell you for details on the supercharger to ask a GM performance parts dealer. When you ask, they will tell you it hasn't been released yet. Also the Sport package is shown and it is pointed out that you can order just the rear spoiler pair without having to get the whole package. This site seems to have better info the then site you have been using. And when Toyota buys GM, then Toyota will have two cars (Vibe & Matrix) waiting on the supercharger package.
I was at the GM Street Dreams car show in Detroit last weekend and I talked to the manager of the aftermarket division of GM and he said that it is definitely coming out this month (June). He has also driven it and said it is awesome. I work at a GM dealership, so when I hear more, I'll post the info.

YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
The GM Dealers June magazine has devoted page 24 to the Supercharger for the Vibe. It describes the kits, and identifies "should be available near the end of the second quarter of 2003".
Do you really think it's Toyota taking it's sweet time or is Gm the one forcing them to wait until they're ready? My local Trd store has the part listed already bbut clearly states on their computer not available till June. I find it hard to believe that trd has so much stuff out already for their car and they are stalling on this one item, I haven't found a gm front sway bar for the VIbe but Trd has theirs out, I could be wrong as you probably know more than I do on the matter . Oh well I think we can all agree that we can't wait to get the SC into our cars.

Nothing new in the story, just that kits should be available near the end on the second quarter 2003. No part numbers and no prices.

I really hope the SC makes it's debut soon. I'm half tempted to trade my base in and buy a GT. The whole reason I bought a a Base was the promise of the SC. I test drove both cars and decided to go with the SC'd base because of the higher torque. I enjoyed the lift on the GT, but wanted a little more "oompfh" off the starting block. If I had my way, the SC would have been out when I bought my Vibe so I could of had it preinstalled. But my leased Alero was due back by the end of March.
