Just bought my Vibe - First post!

Hey now!Just bought my Vibe tonight. I should have it in a few days. They are doing the usual call around to find my model. Here are the specs:Shadow (Two tone)BaseAutoMoon & TunesPower GroupI've been shopping the Vibe for over a month now. I've driven all the models and have seen every color. A month ago it was impossible to get the Vibe I wanted here in Buffalo. Actually, I didn't really know what I wanted until tonight when I made my final decision. Tonight I drove a Shadow GT and realized that in this time in my life, we didn't need a 6 speed. The wife is an Engineer at GM so we have the Saab 9-3 and it's turbocharged engine for being fast and furious. So, with GMS pricing, I walked away with a great deal on a sweet (very affordable) ride. I have Shadow as my first choice and Abyss as my second. I should be getting a call in the morning from the dealer as to which one they can readily get a hold of. I'm starting to think I might wait longer if they can get me the shadow. Also, 4 hours later, I'm thinking I should make either Neptune or Salsa my second choice. I think I'll just wait to see if they can grab me a shadow.Well, hope this isn't too long. I'm excited to take ownership, I hope I don't have to wait long.Glad to be here. I'm a photo-holic so I'll have tons of picture as soon as I bring it home.Hope to hear from yi'ns!

congrats.. had mine since 6/20.. fun car..and great gas mileage too.. 30 plus mpg.. got 2000 miles on it now.. i have a frosty base..mono..loaded except moon and tunes.. just put super dark tint ..looks sharp.. good luck with vibe and your team.. mickey

I'm leasing it from Don Davis. I originally went to Jim Murphy, but since it was a GMS vehicle and I found out that a friend of mine moved from Paddock to Don Davis, I just went and had him find mine.Do you live in the city? I'm Elmwood/Bidwell area....

I tried to buy a car at Paddock 1.5 years ago when i leased my grand am. I have a friend here in Rochester that knows or knew one of the sales managers there at Paddock. I called that guy three times and never heard a word back... OH well I just went to another dealer local to Rochester

My friend (salesman) had left Paddock because he didn't like the sales technique that they taught. Same went for my experience at Basil Chevy. This punk was 20 years old and after giving me a bullsh*t GMS price on a Tracker he gave me the old "what's it gonna take to get you into this car". My wife and I just laughed at him and walked away. Don Davis has been excellent.

Hey Drew- Another western New Yorker here.. (Rochester). Just saw my first other Vibe today- it was a Neptune. I've had my Envy for a couple of weeks (1200 miles already) and love it! Congrats on yours- hey the weekend's almost over!Now, about those Bills- I like the new uniforms, I went to one training camp session and am all set for a better season than last year, but what was that at Indianapolis? Have a talk with the guys, huh?

Hey Drew! Welcome to the group and congrats on getting the Shadow Vibe. I really love my Shadow GT. The color of the cladding is close enough that it looks like a monotone. Wouldn't want to give up my 6 speed however. Guess I just never grew up. By the way, I'm formerly from Rochester, NY, and use to go to the Bills games when I could. Enjoy!
