I have about 1000 rockets, but i'm not done yet. I'll still spend a couple hundred dollars on more motar kits.

Yes, that will hold you for a day or two, but you need more mortars. Bottle rockets are my favorite. Cheap, and not too objectionable to the neighbors.

I remember back in the day, getting a liter bottle, shoving 100 bottle rockets at a time upside down in the bottle, tossing a match into it, and watch the bottle melt down, and the bottle rockets fly anywich way they pleased........... damn I miss being a kid

Where's the dynamite? LOL! I am looking at going down to Indiana and getting some. Michigan's fireworks laws suck. All your legally able to have is sparklers and snakes. Maybe a few smoke bombs. Nothing that shoots or explodes. I do it anyways. Take that Michigan law!

For newyears we shot off around 40. VERY NICE. Too bad it started raining. We built our own launching pad using tubing and plywood from home depot. We were able to light 8 triple breaks at the same time using 4 firesticks. Now that was a freaking BOOM!!!!!!

Too much money for too little fun.As a Kid my Grandpa showed me how to send a juice can fly 50-100 feet up with just a single black cat firecracker. You obviously need a frozen juice concentrate can (cardboard tube with metal ends) with the juice gone and the top off. Poke a hole out the side near the bottom just big enough to feed the fuse through. Using tape or a little gum, stick the firecracker to the bottom of the can feeding the fuse out the hole.Get a slightly larger can (we used short coffee cans) and fill it with water a 1/2" shallower than the height of your juice can. Stand the juice can upside down in the center of the water. The bottom, firecracker, and fuse should NOT get wet. Light the fuse and stand back. The firecracker pops, expanding the air in the can. It pushes against the water pushing it out of the can, forcing the can to go UP very fast. You've made a juice can rocket!. If you're lucky, anyone standing near the can will get a good splash too.My grandpa would typically have a 50-pack of black cats, and that would keep all his grandchildren entertained for several days. And for BIG Ooooh-Aaaah displays, there was always the city fireworks show put on after dusk on the 4th.KSNeptune

quote:Too much money for too little fun. When it started to rain we went comando with the triple break motors. We light them in our hand and tossed them in the lake behine the patio. The fuse didn't go out when they hit the water and we had huge explosions in the water when they blew up!!!!!! You could also see the color the motors were when they blew up. Too bad we didn't hit the aligator in the back with them. (We think it ate the Taco bell dog next door) Now that is some fun or is that just the pyro in me.......LOL

I don't think you have enough yet Last year we spent over $1000us on fireworks. most of it mortars but of course you have some of everything to appease the rest of the people that don't get to shoot off the mortars.Very impressive pile though. You guys are going to have a blast(no pun intended)Shadow Realm

The fuse was about 9 inches long. WE had enough time to light, wind up and throw!!! Any smaller and I dojn't think I would've done it.
