Power Steering Fluid instead of ATF in PS pump??

Is Power Steering Fluid able to be used in our Vibes? I have a small leak in the pump I was told and the dealer wants to put a new one in for 500 dollars plus labor!! I found some Prestone PSF with "stopleak" in it and wondered if it was worth a try, but don't want to add the wrong thing if it can only use ATF in the pump??Also, is it common to have leaks from the PS assembly? I read somewhere that the hoses were a common leaking point in this car?Thanks!Courtney
