... to a crackberry! I bought a Blackberry Pearl 8130 last week and can't get enough of the thing. Anyone else have one? I installed google maps, Gmail, Weather network and MSN Messenger on it. The GPS is wicked too. It talks to you like a car GPS!

I've been offered one at work and I've turned it down. Not having one ensures the balance between work life and family life, but I think that (given my current and projected work scopes) it is an inevitable encroachment I will suffer.Plus, I think if I had one, I'd be on it all the time.

Well they've blocked all webmail and anything remotely fun off all computers at work, so mainly I have it to access personal stuff from work. But since I'm on my laptop at home all the time anyway, its not that much of a difference.... just smaller and I can talk on it.

Think its an iPhone? My friend wanted an iPhone. Then I showed her how the keyboard works on my ipod touch and compared it to the BlackBerry. Blackberry won that round. I can't stand the on screen keyboard - its small and overly sensitive. I love the iPhone for multimedia, but I love the BlackBerry for actual communication (aside from voice) with email and text.

My friend has a Crackberry, she never puts it down, it gets a little annoying to me though to always see her on it. I mean I use my tesxting and stuff a lot but some people take it to another level of insane. If she hears it go off and it is not next to her, she jumps up like a dog who smells the mailman

I'll admit I text while driving sometimes, but I don't look down. I use my T9 word maker and feel the buttons. As for texting while talking to people in person. I try to avoid it until our conversation is over, unless its important or something then I excuse myself for a moment politely.
I have one but sadly I'm stuck with an 8703e, right at the moment. I'm trying to get myself upgraded to the Curve but I need to see if I can justify the cost. Ironic part... I'm the administrator of the Blackberry Enterprise server for my organization and I have the phone with the least capability of any of the others... I guess that's the price I pay for being an early adopter.

So at home, I use my laptop.

The curve would solve all of my issues. In any case, my hopeless addiction to my "crackberry" will be satisfied in some form even if it means just keeping my 8703.
