(removed)! Same Hwy claims BOTH my cars! In 2 days!!!

Post by Lancer »

Been trying to go to Wausau to visit my wife's niece and her new baby, and to check out the tuner shop for the Vibe. Took the Vibe on Monday afternoon cause it's supposed to be the reliable car now. First we get lost due to construction on the one Hwy we needed to be on. Turned around to find out the on ramp back to the interstate is now a cliff. Then, the vibe started acting weird. It wouldn't shift into second at all until you rev the heck out of it. Then all of the sudden, none of the gears worked. A state trooper (driving an SRT Charger) 'just happened' to be right behind me when I pulled over. He ran a check on me and came back saying that my drivers license is suspended . And of course he didn't like my tint on my windows. He did like my engine bay though. So I ended up having to have the vibe towed back to Appleton, $300 later. My wife still wanted to visit and I told her as-long as it's no with her car, the Vue. Cause it's not running too well either and if we loose that, we're sorta screwed cuz I have job interviews and she's got work. So she went to use her sisters car and to take a couple of her other nieces along. She left at like 7:00pm and at 2:00am I call her. She say's she has to tell me something and she'll be home in a little bit. Finally she gets home and does the "promise me you wont get mad?" I said, "You took the Vue anyways didn't you!?" "Yeah, and we hit a deer on the way back..." The deer took out the drivers side bumper, turn signal, front fender, scraped along the side doors, shattered the rear 1/4 panel (lots of hair stuck in there ), and rear bumper. They also drove over it on the rear drivers tire and that is now really rough and noisy. Good thing, I have full coverage with a $250 deductible. Maybe I'll try to get the red-line bumpers for it. The Vibe is supposedly being fixed. My mech. is really slow, but cheap. The CEL I got from the tranny is P0770. A bad solenoid or not plugged in right (like the fuel line was, coming home from the Fourth Sunday evening. )I don't know what I did or why the forces that be wont give me a freakin break and just let me finish the damn car. I really am considering getting rid of it. So frustrated!

That sucks! At least nobody got hurt and they didn't throw you in jail for a suspended license.

Yeah, I know! The trooper just gave me a warning about everything he didn't like. I think he liked it when I told him that when the car is running right, it'll beat most of the mustangs out there, "I mean, at the track that is." I wish the Vue could have been totaled though. I got insurance that will stop any more payments for that thing. US Bank is retarded, they keep reversing my payments even though I have more than enough money in my account, then tack on late fees.

That is rough... glad everyone is ok (just not the deer, but that's okay). Ger BOTH your cars back on the road and avoid that stretch of hwy if you can (it doesn't like you very much).

Glad nobody is hurt and you aren't in jail. I love U.S. Bank. I use them for most of my finance stuff and they are great for the most part.
