Oh no...not another new Vibe owner :P

Post by SmillingMan »

Well, just wanted to say hello to everyone and that you have a new Vibe owner in your mits. My wife and I just picked a new Vibe last weekend and have been loving it ever since! Its a 2009 Vibe 2.4l with everything but the sunroof package. Its carbon gray metallic color and yes I will post pics soon.I have been lurking for a bit around here gathering info so I just want to say thanks for such a great forum that seems to actually be very formative and civil. I have come across a few sites that was just a little to immature for my tastes .Like I said before, we are loving the Vibe. But its not all perfect...yet. A few hours after drove off the lot, I noticed that the panel on the driver door with the buttons for the windows is loose and that there is a dent on the roof about the size of a dime. Took it back to the dealer and they are going to fix the door panel next week but the dent in the roof looks like its going to be harder to get taken care of.When I took it back to show the problems, the salesmen told me that they had a hail storm a few weeks back and that is more then likely when it happened. But that he would need to speak with his manager about getting into the body shop. That was Monday and have not heard a thing back yet from him although I am going to call him tomorrow morning(I like to give people time but not all the time in world). If you have any suggestions or even to tell me that we are just being to picky(I have no problem with small dents as long as it was my car but with it being brand new, I feel it should be next to perfect )Well, this is getting longer then I wanted it to so I will stop now..thanks for reading my wind bag post

Welcome to GenVibe! Congrats on getting the Vibe! I would expect it to be perfect when buying a new vehicle. Any issues should be taken care of with no issues by the dealership. They SHOULD also provide you with a free rental car during the tiem it gets fixed if needed.

Congratulation on your new Vibe. I have a 2009 carbon gray metallic Vibe with the 2.4 too. You are not being picky. When you buy a new car it should not have any dents in it.

XD welcome to the vibe family and i hope you get these issues resolved quickly. when you get the door fixed, can you tell me how much that panel is? mine is 1/2 removed because there are two clips, one at the bottom and one at the top, and they are made of plastic and very little at that.
None. Vibe is gone.

Weclome aboard. In agreement with all, when you buy a new car it is just that, a new car. You have every right to be picky, and if your dealer gives you a hard time, change dealers. Sorry for the rant Again, welcome!
