Quik Wax

Has anyone used Meguiar's Quik Wax? It seems easy since all you do is spray it on and wipe it off.

Per Meguiar'sHi-performance, spray on carnauba protection offers dramatically deeper, darker reflections with increased gloss and shine. Just mist on and wipe off to wax your entire car (wet or dry) in minutes. For superior results during application and removal, we recommend using our Supreme Shine® Microfiber or Ultra Plush Super Terry.This product is not the same as Quick Detailer, and it will not replace traditional waxing. It is an additional top coat. Once your car is waxed and clean and you have washed it, dried it, you can apply this to keep that top coat of finish wax/gloss nice and gleamy. A product like Quick Detailer is kinda like a soapless, waterless car wash. Lots of classic car owners use it because their babies never get wet, therefore they spray it on, wipe, and buff off. So two different products with two different angles. If you think this is going to be something that saves you from the manual labor, think again. No substitute for a few bottles of the right cleaners/polishes and a wheel.

So what do you recommend for waxing and cleaning the inside/outside plastic parts of my vibe?

all outside black plastic and interior plastic and dashMeg's #40-Does the job without leaving any kind of high gloss or filmy residue that leaks and runs if it rains leaving streaking. You apply to the towel then work in like a wax rubbing all parts. The thing is people just spray and wipe like they were dusting a shelf. Rub it in and you will see the difference.all outside clear plastics and inside clear plastics; headlight, gauges, etc.PlastX-good for deep cleaning and removal of swirls, scratches and hazed over clear plastics, takes a lot of elbow grease but results are fantastic. Works like car polishPlexus-used by the airforce to clean jet canopies, available at most marine stores or online. It is good for inbetween work after washes and such, use a microfiber towel.

No substitute for a few bottles of the right cleaners/polishes and a wheel.It certainly does not replace a good olf fashioned proper polish and wax, but really you only need to do that maybe twice a year. I have been using the eagle 1 wax as you dry on my vibe for the past couple months, and the water beads just like a normal wax job, keeps the paint looking great, and is a very good product to use every other car wash. You have to dry it anyway, why not kill two birds with one stone...I'll probably break down and go the whole route once the summer is over. I have no real shade in the driveway anywhere...
