Bear with me, I'm no tech expert. I don't know what they're called but they're really skinny digital cameras. I saw some demos on clearance for about $100 and am thinking about picking one up with next paycheck (yes, dummy took the camera too. Like the laptop, it was too bulky anyway LOL)If I'm using them for my website item pics, eBay, etc. are those cameras good enough for that purpose? Thanks! Any advice will be appreciated
I have purchased 4 versions of the Casio Exilim Z series cameras. I love mine, Mavrik has one and my parents have 2 of them. YOu can find a good price for one but a bit more than $100, I've seen them on sale at Best Buy or Ritz Camera for about $150-199.
Thanks, Hope! Yeah a friend told me that Casio is good because it has SB card and Olympus uses XB and it would be harder to find the memory card. I will look into it...maybe I can find a demo one!
Well for quick snaps that should be fine. If you want to take close ups of small items for eBay, make sure the camera has a macro feature

Don't bother yourself with anything over 5mp with those cameras... the ones touting 5-10mp are BS, the CCD chip in them are only good for about 5mp... so buying an 8mp camera is about worthless.. If it were a DSLR, that's a different story, because they use larger chips and/or mutiples smaller ones.. just others said, just get something simple, I like my Sony, but mainly because it uses AA batteries, so I always have extras on hand...
CR last year said the sony thin one was one of the top rated ones. My sister has it and WOW it has awesome pic quality. Remember you get what you pay for and you'd want 3.2mp or better and the higher the optical zoom the better. But do research and see what consumer reports has to say, or cnet.
