I heard this story on the radio today about how the Danish people are the happiest in the world.I'm first generation born in Canada to Danish parents.Let's see, things for Danes to be happy about:Hans Christian Anderson - DanishLego - DanishDanish Pastry - DanishTuborg and Carlsberg beer - Danish Vikings - DanishBrigitte Nielsen - Danish I'm not so sure that those last three are all that happiness-inspiring, although not being Zimbabwe (it finished least-happy, no wonder there)is certainly a good enough reason for any country. Now the article:http://abcnews.go.com/2020/story?id=4086092&page=1 On Christmas eve when I was a kid, all the parents and children would hold hands and walk around the Christmas tree singing Christmas carols, (this was after the meal, and a couple of shots of Akvavit each), the Danes certainly do love their songs!I don't agree about the comment about every Dane can afford a car though. When I was there I was told that the tax rate for purchasing a car is 100% when you buy one.And the practicing laughing thing? I never heard anything like that. Now, I thought for sure Holland would be the happiest, but that might be only in the coffee shop/hash bars.
