Wanted: Seamstress?

Post by Herb »

It looks like my Vibe GT is coming apart at the seams.Well specifically the stitching on the sleeve of my shifter. So do dealers re-sew bad stitching?

As far as I know, they don't. But the warranty should cover that. Have them order you a new one and replace it. I can't believe it is coming apart already!

If you have a base vibe its made out of a cheap material. I suggest you replace it with a leather boot. If not you'll end up replacing it again.

The boot in the GT is leather and the dealer should replace it, no questions asked. Especially with how new the car is.

Mine was unraveling from day 1. I planned on putting a small drop of superglue on the threads to keep it from going any further, but I haven't.

Mine's been unraveling a bit also. I have a GT and am already up to 30k miles. Probably mention it to the dealer next time I take the car in. Well, I guess I'm not the only one having this problem.

I'm kind of unhappy with my vibe gt...im thinking I should have gotten a different car. It's quality in some areas is kind of ****ty. I've had it for 2 months now, 2000 miles on it now I think. I already have an oil leak, speaker rattles, and I don't like the way the trans is set up in terms of where 1st and 2nd are. It's also annoying to shift from 5th to 4th because you hit the gate.
