After a good rain or car wash, I've been noticing a drop or two of water on the plastic trim above the small side window in the cargo area. The water is not on the window, but on the plastic above the window and below the headliner. Where on earth could that be coming from?
Do you have a sunroof? If yes, then in Generation I Vibes (2003-2008) there is a blue drain hose from the passenger side of the sunroof cavity that runs down the pillar in front of the small rear window. I'd guess that either it's plugged or perhaps cracked. Here's a link to a thread with photos I posted in a discussion about it in 2006 --> http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=25645If no sunroof, I'm stumped.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
but why would it just be on the one side and not the other? unless its getting on both sides..then that might be a possibility..another thing is maybe the roof rack?? where the screws go into the actual roof perhaps?

I wasn't sure how the rails are attached to the roof, whether there are bolts through the skin of the roof or it is just attached to the top somehow.I'll have to get inside the car and have someone run a hose and try to see at least what direction the water is coming from.
If it were me, I'd take off that trim panel to see behind it when you have someone hose the car. It could be the seal around the top of that fixed glassYou should also check the floor pan at the spare tire to see if any water has collected, I don't know if there is a drain or weep hole down there

The car is still under warranty, I'll be taking it in. I just don't like taking a car in blindly, not knowing exactly what the problem is...even though the work is free. I have a feeling it has something to do with the roof rack, and I can only imagine what it looks like behind the panels back there.
