STILL ANOTHER CRUISE CONTROL QUESTION

OK...my mechanic got the cruise control stalk all hooked up and wired in this afternoon. "Cruise" lights up on the dashboard, even, just as it is supposed to do. BUT...the CC doesn't work!! I have a 2007 5-speed base Vibe. It was made in California. Should have the DBW already in place. Also should have the clutch control switch already in place. Any thoughts on why it isn't working? Any suggestions as to what to do next? BTW, I've ordered a Toyota clutch control switch just in case. Help!dc3

The clutch interlock switch would be my first thought as well. It was pre-installed in our '06 Vibe so adding the stalk was the only thing needed. Have you confirmed that the switch is in place, and is switching properly when the clutch pedal is up?
