I was wondering if the carbon fiber engine cover at $140 would be worth it? I know it would be just from an appearance stand point, but I like the looks of it. I've already got the TRD oil cap (Thanks Blue Crush!) and a TRD radiator cap. I ordered a DC Sports strut tower bar but they are on back order so I won't be getting that for like 3 weeks.Any comments? Here it is if anyone hasn't seen it:

Wow, that was a quick response! Yes, engine is stock. Not sure that I want to spend the money or time looking for a supercharger for it. I know that the GM Performance supercharger is out of production for now and I'm not sure if the one made by Toyota is being made anymore or not. But you never know.

I had it on mine, it looks kinda funny with out the Supercharger. It was made to fit the SC. I sold mine to Adam in WI, he has a SC. You can find them used on MO for 100 or so. Its nice but allows hoses/wires to be seen as its smaller than the stock one....
I agree, it looks nice but not sure that I would spend that much on it. Probably just take the stock one off, clean it up, maybe paint it and highlight the letters on it.

I do like the look, but unless you are pretty much done modding the car and are cleaning up the looks, I wouldn't find it necessary for me. Unless your a hood popper at shows.Otherwise, a little cover paint can go a long way. I think Wave did his to match the car with a blue/gold theme, came out nice.
If you like the look of carbon fiber, and think the TRD c/f cover looks odd w/out supercharger, you can have your stock engine cover "covered" with a faux c/f film. A company called Pattern Tek (www.patterntek.com) can enhance the look of just about anything made of metal or rigid plastic. I know it's just for appearance, but if that's what you're looking for, this might be a cheaper alternative. Just contact them for a quote. An example of Scion engine cover:http://www.patterntek.com/pict...id=74I've had work done by Patterntek - fuse box cover and cruise control actuator cover. They do excellent quality work. Herer's my fuse box cover.
Nothing wrong with engine dress up.Here's what I have: But of course, these are for a 2ZZ
