For all those who have been saying Pontiac needs to advertise more... they finally showed the DJ Vibe commercial on the MTV Movie awards tonight. I downloaded that movie like 5 months ago, and it's finally making it on TV. Way to advertise on MTV also, with a young crowd.
I have the DJ vibe commercial on my computer at home. I will burn it to a CD and bring to work so I can upload it here if thats possible. Look for it come Monday.
Here in the SF Bay Area, they've been showing a commercial for the "2003 California Edition Vibe", together with another Pontiac car, either the GA or GP (forget which).Of course, nothing in the commercial indicates what makes it a "California Edition", nor can I find such information on the web. This is the first commercial I've ever seen for the Vibe.
They show a DJ getting all his equipment loaded into the back of the vibe, then going to a party. They flash back and forth from the party, to his car. It's kinda cool, definately aimed at a younger crowd.

It was satellite and monotone (I think), as was the other car in the ad. Didn't catch the wheels or the trim model. It was one of those very stylized commercials where you never get all that good a look at it, since it's zooming in and out of tunnels, etc. That, and it has to share time with the GA.It's more of a GM pushing it's 0% financing/24 hour test drive program than trying to sell the car itself.
17" wheels, not the gt model cause you can see the shifer is not the chrome one that comes in the GT. Has the NAV as well
03, Abyss monotone GT, 6 disk changer, moon and tunes, Cargo mat/nets, power package, side airbags, AEM Short Ram Intake, Borla exhaust , 35% tint all around, F1 strut tower brace, debadged, 17" Excel rims w/ federal ss595 tires.
Finally saw a Vibe commercial last night. The first time since I bought my Vibe almost six months ago.BTW, it was a cheesy hip hop thing that I guess is supposed to appeal to us twenty somethings. They should advertise more.Nine out of ten people don't know what I'm talking about when I tell them what I drive.
I will admit, I like seeing them slide the a$$ end out on a corner but that's it.Oh well, I guess showing a poor shmo like me shlepping to work on the highway with a coffee cup in my hand doesn't sell cars.
wow! just sitting here watching the tv gide channel and what do you know, the vibe commercial comes on! first one i've seen on TV that's just the vibe! said it was teh hottest selling car in it's class.... whatever that means! but cool
Just saw my first Vibe commercial today. It was on during a newscast at 8:30 on a Sunday morning! Definitely NOT prime-time audience numbers. It wasn't being run by the central Indiana Pontiac dealers, either. What IS Pontiac corporate thinking???I guess it was the 'DJ' one - guy with lots of equipment in the back of a silver GT?? Had the same tag line someone else mentioned about 'best selling in it's class' - meaning it outsells the Matrix, I guess. Edit: Saw a second Vibe commercial last night 04/07 after the late news. They're still not putting them in prime time, but at least they're running them. Does anyone have access to the 'number of days of unsold inventory' for the Vibe? It seems like 60-90 days inventory is considered typical
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
