The new ones are nice, a decent evolution of the product... But if yours is paid off and isn't giving you any trouble, it's probably not a bad idea to hang on to it. Very low mileage, it still has a lot of life left in it.With the economy down the crapper and gas rising to record levels daily, I would keep the old one since the new one probably isn't going to be able to match the fuel economy of the 1st gen.

"...don't concentrate on the finger, or you will miss all of that Heavenly Glory..."'06 Base Platinum Two-Tone. Automatic. Manual doors and windows. Old style factory crossbars AND GM Utility Bars. Old style center console lid. All-weather front floormats. Rear bumper fascia protector. Drawtite hitch.
The wise thing to do is keep it.Put any money you would hav been planning for a car payment or higher payment into a ROTH IRA and have lots of money later. As Dave Ramsey would say "Live like no one else, so later you can LIVE Like NO ONE Else!"

Although it depends on what loaded means. Alloy wheels, 6 disc in dash CD, sunroof, leather wrapped wheel and shifter, etc.
Base model doesn't have to mean it is stripped down... The Vibe has 3 models: base, AWD, and GT. The base has plenty of options available, thus a base model can be loaded if you select all the options. It just isn't a GT or AWD, thus the "base" designation.

Keep It. I love my vibe, but I'd never buy another brand new car again. You lose 30% of you value as you drive it home. If you really want to get rid of that kind of cash, just throw $5k out the window on your next commute.Besides, you do much more for the environment by not buying a new vehicle, no matter how good of mpg it gets.
Whelan is used to thinking Matrix, where on the base even things like air conditioning, AC inverter, power exterior mirrors were optional. Base matrix = bare bones, base vibe just means not GT or AWD.-Unless there is something undisclosed that makes you want to get rid of it, then I'll pile on with a KEEP IT
