Tail chop on the Duc!

Post by Merzbow »

I was debating on chopping off the rear of my Duc. I decided to go for it and I am very satisfied It went pretty smoothly. I had to cut about 6 inches of the frame off the back because the frame extended underneath the rear tray that was in back. I made my own brackets for the tail light. Now I just have to get an integrated LED turn signal tail light and I'll be set. Until then I just use my hands to signal. There are a few other updated mods I've done since the last time I've posted pictures: painted the windscreen metallic/gunmetal. took off the Termi' exhaust decals, took off the left bar-end mirror, got a new tire, new chain, 14 tooth front sprocket, and red LEDs under the tail. On the way right now are smaller front turn signals and some sweet patches for my leather. Hopefully soon I'll be getting a carbon fiber cowl to put over the passenger seat, a carbon fiber belly, and I want to powder coat the wheels red. Here is before:Here is what she looks like now:

Looks like a Pilot Power... (the rear tire)Looks good Paul...I was going to mention to take off that front reflector on the forks, but looks like you did that too. Those front blinkers gotta go!I like the idea of doing something with the wheels, reminds me of the Monster S4 (I think that's the # of it) I think I remember when one came out that was gun metal, and had orange or red wheels... looked awesome... almost made me go out and get one.

Thanks all Funny story with the fork reflectors. I forgot about those lol. I was at the mall with some friends and I was kinda poking at the one side, and I said out loud "I wonder if these would be a pain in the (removed) to get off..." then it just kind of fell off into my hand. Gave us a laugh for a bit. The other side didn't come off without a fight though.I really like the red frame/wheels look on the monsters, that's why I'm sending around and getting quotes for powder coating mine.Let us know when you get the Buell I wanna see pics. I love Buells.

Looks good!By P3's up for a tail chopping here at some point. Just finished getting the exhaust bored out so it doesn't sound like a lawnmower anymore. After that, ditching the windshield and going with something custom... haven't decided yet. Man, so much for modding my car.
