Trailer Hitches: 2009 Vibe/Matrix, Latest Word

Just got off the phone with Keith Brunett at Curt Mfg. They physically checked and found that the 12228 trailer hitch that most dealers are selling that are advertised as fitting the 2009 FWD Vibe will also fit the AWD, but not the GT model, because of the rear facia. The hitch hits against my muffler. They are re-designing the hitch to make it narrower front to back for more clearance. They are going to ship me the new model to try out on May 23, 2008. I'll let everyone know how it works out.
