dvd player help

ok so i gotta call from someone i know that needs my help. im not 100% on what to do so here it goeshe installed a in-dash dvd player and it has a yellow wire that is supposed to hook up to the e-brake. its so you can't watch dvd's while driving. he doesn't want it that way. i haven't looked to it yet but im thinking i should be able to hook it to anything that has power while the car is on. anyone have ideas

Depends on the unit, most times it just needs to be grounded, other times it needs to see 12v.... It depends...

It's very simple and totally illegal, but if you must..... ground it to the chassis somewhere near the e-brake.
