Hello everyone! An hour ago I purchased a 2003 Vibe!! It is the base model, automatic, only has 46k miles on it....picked it up...er...stole it for $9900! So being a newbie, is there any recommended mods/tips I should follow? Thanks!Dizzi
hey welcome to the forums and congrats on the purchaseas for mods..theirs alot to do..whether it be performance..looks..interior..exterior...just browse the garage section and get ideas...i think that would be the best bet
Curious - did it have the "power package" - power windows, remote entry etc., cruise?Interested as I might be selling my 2003 with 31,000 miles if I get motivated to buy a new one.

Welcome to the forums! Clean looking '03. Congratulations on your purchase. You're in the right place if you love the Vibe... Being an '03, you already have two of the first "mods" I did to my '06. Adding crossbars, and the dual lid console top.
"...don't concentrate on the finger, or you will miss all of that Heavenly Glory..."'06 Base Platinum Two-Tone. Automatic. Manual doors and windows. Old style factory crossbars AND GM Utility Bars. Old style center console lid. All-weather front floormats. Rear bumper fascia protector. Drawtite hitch.
welcome to the family, fellow hoosieras far as mods go, i'd do what waveaction said. check the garage for ideas. there are a bunch of clean looking vibes in there.and for including a pic with your first post, i'll put a gold on your chart for today

Yeah, it has PW, PDL, keyless, cruise, Roof...but sadly just the steel wheels. Still figured it was a good price for just under $10k. Most Vibes with these options and mileage were going for around $11k-$12k. Good luck if you sell! BTW, why are you selling yours?

BTW, why are you selling yours?Except for a set of Conti tires that were replaced under warranty (I had to pay for mounting and balancing), and a defective light switch in the rear view mirror (bought replacement on eBay cheap) my 2003 Vibe has been trouble free - as it should be since it has less than 31,000 miles. Was looking at an '08 a couple month's ago but even with all the rebates etc. I didn't think the price was worth it compared to the '09's that have the added safety features - antilock disk brakes, airbags galore, and stability control. The way the economy is heading I expect the '09's to have generous incentives in a few months. Maybe then. Plus - the way gas prices are going I think the demand for used Vibes will remain strong.Last year I sold my perfectly good 42 month old 22,000 mile 2004 T&C for $11,500 and bought a new '07 for $17,160 out the door. If you divide that $5,560 difference by 42 that = $132 a month. If I can get $10,000 for my '03 Vibe and buy a new one for $19,000 in July that is a difference of $9,000. Divide that by the 66 months I owned the Vibe = 136.36 a month. I like new cars if they end up costing me less than $150 a month.

I would probably have a buyer for your vibe for under $10k if you're interested...IM me if you truly begin to think of selling it. My friend's mother-in-law wants a vibe/trix and is looking to spend around $10k.
