Goodbye Saab 9-5 Hello Vibe

Post by DSNYVIBE »

Well I am the proud owner of an 2008 Vibe and I think I got a good deal in the process. I had a 9-5 on a SmartBuy and while I liked the it, it wasn't worth the price I paid for it. The SmartBuy was up in August and I decided to try and take advantage of the Pull Ahead program since I had my eye on the Vibe. Well between the pull ahead program and the other incentives GM had in place I got $5250 off in rebates, plus they paid my last two payments on the Saab. I got it in black (Abyss) with the following equipment: Preferred Package, Premium Package, Sport Package, A/T, Sunroof, Airbags, Antilock Brakes and 17" Wheels. The MSRP was $23,680. The dealer gave me a price of $22,500 and after the rebates I ended up at $17,250, which strikes me as a pretty good deal. I figure it gives me some cash for some upgrades! I have only had it a week and haven't had too much time to drive it yet but I have a feeling I am going to have this one until the wheels fall off!

Welcome and congrats on the new Vibe! I think you'll love the car, and you'll find GenVibe to be a great resource with both valuable info and friendly folks.
