Transmission cooler advice please

Post by jetmech727 »

I have an '03 Vibe AWD. I'm going to be doing some towing with it to a max weight of about 900 Lbs. I just went out and purchased a Mr. Transmission Stacked Plate Design cooler. It's there mid-size unit that measures some 7 1/4" X 11" X 3/4" and is rated to 18'000 Lbs. Just wondering if that will be adequate auxillary cooling? I'm not towing offten at all, in fact this will be the first time for this car since new, but it will be an 800Km jouney each way. Thanks for your input

Tru-Cool has always been recommended to me. Supposedly has 2-4x the cooling capacity that other coolers have of the same size. Anything is better than nothing, though.
