I have 2 key sets. One set has my Car and wifes car and the gas cap key for each. The other key set has all the other keys.I Was tought long ago its not really good for the ignition switch in your vehicle to be heavily weighted down by other keys and fobs and whatever decorations people put on their rings.
Only the very basics. Ignition KeyHome KeyOffice KeyRemote entry Fob. I have a second chain for PObox, other office, friends house, and a few other places.

Heh, I carry three sts with me most times, but I have four total. Don't ask, let's just say I am notorious for locking multiple sets in my car.#1: Ignition key, keyless entry remote, apartment key.#2: Ignition key only on a little clippy thing. Comes in handy for when I want to leave the car locked and the engine running, I start it with this one and lock the doors from the outside with another key.... So if someone feels the need to steal the mighty Hyundai, they just get the ignition key and can't get in the house. #3: Flash drive, mailbox key, apartment key, laundry room key.#4: A like-new ignition key and remote, the second one that came with the car, complete with the keytag for my extended warranty info that Hyundai sent me. I usually just use this set when i'm at the dealer so they'll always have the info, not like it's already in the system. I used to have one of those RSA key fob thingies on one of my sets that displays an access code that changes every 60 seconds for secure systems at work, but I didn't like how it was getting scratched up so I clip that to the bag I always have with me. That thingamajig would have gone on #1.Interesting topic...Silver, what the heck do you have an arena key for? lol!

I always forget to take my migraine preventative and I end up regretting it! Then I have to reach for the heavy duty stuff to knock it out that I only get 10 a month of.

I wonder how many people carry keys that they can't remember what they're for? I have two that I can't bring myself to throw away.

i've read/heard places that say that a really heavy set of keys can ultimately damage the key barrel/ignition in your car over time. Anybody else hear this?
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
Eh....probably either one of those false (one in a milllion) stories you hear on the news that they put togather just to get air time or something a mechanic would feed you as an excuse to get you to pay for a new ignition or something like that.I can see the logic behind it but I don't think it gives a car's durability enough credit lol.

I admit... my keychain is taking on a life of its own.-Vibe key-Accord key (boyfriend's car)-house key-mailbox key (we're in a townhouse with centralized mail)-key to the garage-entry door-PetCo and PetSmart discount cards... and thanks to this post, I just realized I have cards on there for grocery stores that don't exist where I just moved to. Looks like I can take those suckers off now.
Right now I have 2 Vibe keys(I'm still in winter mode, since the vibe cannot be locked with the remote while running, gotta use a second key ), House Key, Parent's house key, In-law's house key, Parent's Cabin Key, a mystery key and Vibe remote.

i have the FOB and key for the vibe, house key, a cool mini pen i got at a manufacturing convention, and a few of what i call utili-keys; keys to pad locks you have lost a while ago XD. i put this on 2 key rings with 2 little pieces of flair, one of which is a piece of Aztec gold from Pirates of the Carribean and the other is the Laughing Man logo.
I must be the only nerd here. No one else has a flash drive? Also, one of these stuck to the back of the KE remote. Got it at Walmart for like $3. http://www.problemsolvers.com/...e=813
I used to carry a flash drive on mine, but that proved to be rough on 'em and the casing would always break. I also used to have one of those RSA keyfob thingies for our secure apps at work on there too, but it was getting scratched up. LED's could even be spotted on there many years ago.I can't stand having all kinds of junk on there anymore, so now I just have the car's fob, a house key, and ignition key.

Quote, originally posted by kunkstyle »A fail to see the danger in it... but I agree. I hate having all my keys jangling when I drive. The danger lies in the fact that if you lose the car keys you also lose the house keys and if they happened to be stolen or you happen to be Jacked they also have access to the house as well. Its just one of those personal safety things. I didn't make it up, Really!
