The book says 5-30 which I'm assuming they are reffering to dino juice. Seems most of what was on the shelf at the local parts store was 0-30. Should I look for a synthetic 5-30 or is the 0-30 just fine?

The two have the same viscosity (30 wt.) when the engine is warm and the 0W-30 will be a little freer-flowing than the 5W-30 when the engine is cold. But it'll still be much thicker when cold than after it warms up, so I can't see any harm from using the 0W instead of 5W (and it should have a slight benefit in reducing friction and wear during warmup). But, if you're still under warranty you might want to stick strictly to the recommendations in the owner's manual to avoid any hassles if a dealer tries to deny you coverage in the event of an engine failure.
