yakima luggage rack/bike rack

I know there are a lot of different types and kits for the yakima luggage racks, but I was wondering does anyone know if I could use the kind that slide on the track? I think it could work if I could get the ends of the sidebars off, but I don't know how they come off. Could anybody help me with this because I found a really good deal on a used one, but it slides on that inside track. Any help is useful. Thanks.

I know that Yakima does not make a rack that fits inside the stock roof rails on the Vibe. It is a GM part. If that isn't what you are looking for, I'm not sure what you are talking about. Post some pics.
