Gains in mpg w/ S/C tube (Sorry BC)

I know he hates me right now cause I installed it to see what the gains would be if any. Well I won't get into that (he's not really mad, I hope lol). It is the supercharger intake tube for the Trix/Vibe that goes from the airbox and has a slight bend down to where cooler air is, no external filter or metal piping, it is plastic like the airbox and stock pipe were, just less bends and better flow.But I installed in at a 1/2 a tank 130 miles on the odo. Lately between commuting and traffic and driving around after work I get about 232 a tank before filling up with 10 gallons (light on). That equates to a simple 23.2mpg. Not horrible for the AWD Trix. Well after installing this little thing in place of my crappy stock tube with 90 degree bends and curls, I did not go below 1/2 a tank until 145 miles. At fill up last night I was sitting at 248 miles with the light on. That equates to a total of 24.8mpg. Up 1.6mpg so far with an extra 16 miles for the tank. So I topped off last night and am curious to see what the gains will be off a full tank this time around, so stick around for the results in a few days. If these advantages hold true, there is typically more space in the tank at the top so the gauge moves slower for the first half. So this may yield even higher gains.Acceleration is improved and much much smoother. The car gets up to speed quicker (I wouldn't equate this to a direct gain in hp, but the better flowing air is certainly making the difference noticeable). The car stays at speed easier and does not downshift as much to get back up or keep speeds on hills.I am hoping to pull anywhere from 260-280 for this tank giving me a 26-28mpg average. I disconnected the battery during install (had to remove it actually) and let the computer reset. I would be very happy with these results. I will keep you posted.Oh and if anyone wants to sell or has an extra tube, let BC know.

Yes Kev but you are also charged for real and I have AWD. So I would think my gains could be slightly more noticeable.

Update*I am at a 1/2 tank with just over 160 miles on the odo. I used to be just below a half tank at 130 miles. That is a 30 mile gain per tank so far, let's see how it pans out. At this rate I can get a full week of driving to work out of a tank of gas!!!

you may be seeing the effect of "summer gas" and higher ambient temps, around this time of year we switch from the winter mix that's less fuel efficient for cold temps

It could be, but I also changed my driving habits. The temps around here are in the 60s at night and 70s in the day, above average since it should only be 60s in the day right now.But I'm not complaining. I am driving nicely too cause I wanna squeeze what I can from my tanks now. Just not worth it to fly around when gas is hitting $3.70 here.

Well my habits have been changed for the last two tanks on the Trix prior to the tube install. I was averaging 220's driving my old way, now I was up to the low 230's the last two tanks of nice driving.I still would see this as giving a gain because the stock piping does two 90 degree curls and bends back up and around the battery. The tube now just slight turns out of the box and down. The exhaust is the restrictive part, but I am not planning on changing that in this car.
