Front speakers

Anybody taken the front doors off to put new speakers in? I almost bought some 5 1/4" speakers when I found out here that they are 6.5". I did pop the cover off for the tweeter but haven't tried to get the whole door off yet, I'm hoping that someone has done it and can give me step by step instructions so I don't break anything. I would like to upgrade the speakers and add an amp but I think I will wait on the amp. Speaking of amps, anybody put one under either of the front seats? Looks like there is enough room but I haven't tried it yet. Thanks for any help.

That's perfect, I was hoping someone had done this. That's the exact thing I was looking for, the picture helps immensely! Looks like I got myself a little project this weekend. Did you have the separates? The tweeters look really easy to replace, there has to be a catch. Again, thanks for the instructions and the pic.VibeVT
